Dana Sechler has been involved in EMS and fire services for 26 years in a wide variety of capacities ranging from volunteer to program resident to chief. As a career public safety and health care provider, Dana has experience working as a Nationally Registered Paramedic and Critical Care Paramedic with fire-based EMS, hospital-based EMS, county-based EMS, third party services, and municipal services. He also previously owned a private ambulance service.
On the educational side, Dana has been employed at several Colleges and Training Centers as an EMS Instructor, Educator, Adjunct Faculty, and as a Program Administrator, which has allowed him the opportunity to speak at many conferences. Lastly, Dana’s executive and management experience comes from serving as a Fire Chief, an EMS Director, and as a Wisconsin State EMS Office official.
Dana is currently the Chief / EMS Director with Baraboo District Ambulance Service. In addition, he serves on various local, state, and national EMS boards and working committees. Most recently, Dana was elected President of the Professional Ambulance Association of Wisconsin (PAAW).
