We're committed to promoting equality by treating people fairly and with respect and by taking steps to address any inequalities in the services and facilities we offer. We believe that providing the best access possible is an essential component of our status as a world class arts and conference venue. We continue to demonstrate an ongoing commitment to improving accessibility by going beyond equality law.

In 2013 we attained silver level in Attitude is Everything Charter of Best Practice which seeks to improve Deaf and disabled people's access to live music across the UK.

Improvements to the accessibility of the Barbican Centre are being made all the time; since the creation of the Access Group in 2000, disabled visitors to the Centre have been consulted on many important projects.
